Supporting Independence with AngelSense: Real-Life Applications, Hasmig Weber, President and Co-Founder of Inclusive Living Possibilities
December 9th, 1:00PM-2:00PM ET
Technology can be a valuable tool for promoting independence, safety, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities when used thoughtfully and in alignment with the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Final Rule. This session will introduce AngelSense, an assistive technology that enhances independence by enabling communication, offering safety alerts, offering recorded proactive voice messaging and supporting autonomy while centering dignity, choice, and meaningful consent. Drawing on both my professional expertise and my lived experience as a mother, I will demonstrate AngelSense in action, sharing real-life examples of how my adult son uses this technology to navigate daily life. The presentation will emphasize how AngelSense can complement other supports, giving individuals and families additional tools to build confidence, autonomy, and connection at work, at home and in their communities.
