SHIFT’s Director of Education and Accreditation, Constance Harrington, was recently published in the International Journal for Direct Support Professionals (October 1, 2025). Her article, “Technology First: Empowering People, Expanding Possibilities,” explores how enabling technology can enhance independence and self-direction for people with differing abilities.
