Technology First

SHIFT education is designed by highly qualified professionals with expertise in technology solutions, long-term support services, education, and organizational development & sustainability. Each certification has its own learning plan that includes: coursework, downloadable materials, and knowledge checks. SHIFT currently offers the following Technology First Certifications that are accredited by the

National Association of Direct Support Professionals.

Enabling Technology Integration Specialist (ETIS) - $999 (approx. 30 hours to complete) is most appropriate for professionals who specialize in the integration of enabling technology. These professionals often work with a provider organization or state agency to complete assessments, identify & implement appropriate technology solutions, provide training, and serve as a resource & mentor to other staff.

Enabling Technology Navigator (ETN) - $999 (approx. 30 hours to complete) is most appropriate for people who are responsible for developing and writing person-centered plans (case managers, service coordinators, program coordinators, etc.).

Enabling Technology Leadership (ETL) - $999 (approx. 30 hours to complete) is most appropriate for the person who leads an organization in the process of a Technology First culture shift. This person will be the point of contact for the accreditation process, if applicable.

All certification coursework is virtual and self-paced.

All include fundamental and specialized coursework, a customized experiential learning project, and final exam.

SHIFT expects learners to complete all coursework within 90 days of enrollment.

Learners then have 6 months to pass the exam and earn their SHIFT Certification.
