PROJECT SPECS

  • Create the structure for a successful and sustainable enabling technology program within DDSD services to include:

    • Development of a DDSD task force with two subject matter experts to execute the Enabling Technology Program for the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year

    • Technology First education and training resources provided by Shift (techfirstshift.com) within the Department and for external stakeholders

    • Waiver definition review and proposed updates (if required)

    • Required documentation and processes for accessing Enabling Technology

    • Engagement with national technology vendors to participate in the NM Enabling Technology program. This will include a review of the current enrollment process and recommendations for updates for technology vendors

    • Development of a pilot project for the 2022-2023 fiscal year to show efficacy and to create buy-in for enabling technology item description
